Pisces New Moon

Pisces New Moon, on Feb 20, 2023 at 12:05AM MST, with energies perfecting at 01degrees Pisces

As I woke up this morning to start my day, I woke up in a start- the realization of the moon being super out of bounds of the ecliptic- south southeast of sunrise. This makes sense as I feel this where am I vibe as I go about waking up for the day.

Then I notice that the Moon and Sun will be conjunct with Saturn- who is in the ending degrees of Aquarius. Where am I indeed. Saturn has been up in the wind, working with the Air element for the last 2.5ish years, and now is about to land in our Water element, our deep ocean waters of Pisces. Where are we landing?

This Moon Sun also make a trine in a wide orb (connection) with the Lunar Nodes in Taurus, bring forward this layer of do we value where we are landing? Is where I am landing a path that leads me towards my inner sense of comfort and pleasure? Is where I am landing enhancing my sense of self worth? Is where I am landing enhancing the value of my relationships? Is the ground I am now finding myself on stable to create and build my life on? (I would consider the ground the set of beliefs that under pin our thoughts and actions from.

Grandmother Moon, please help me understand the energy around me and within me as I work to remove what blocks me from my real self in this New Moon in Pisces.

“Where are we?” is a good question I have most of the time. Especially since right in this moment of early morning I am writing what’s coming up before I have had a chance to wake up. I genuinely have taken my first sip of coffee while sitting with this wonderful sunrise. Nothing makes sense right now, the winter sky is cloudless- a function I’m used to when we experience extreme cold at this time of year. This land feels unusual, though it looks like it always had. Im so confused. Where are we?

Given the time this Moon will meet with the Sun it will be in the most North point for the Northern Hemisphere experience, also referred to the IC point in Astrology- the roots of our being. We are all connected and we will experience this Moon Sun in the area of our lives that we need to. Whether the energy be rising in the morning East, reaching for lunch in the South, or also resting before bed in the West for you- you are landing and becoming aware of where you are in this moment in time.

I think I have landed on the nature of my block: Becoming aware of where I am, always.

One of the ways we can discover where we are is by reviewing where we have been. Though depending on your relationship with Saturn- you could have been many places while working with the Air element. So learning where you are may be completely unfamiliar to you. I need to consider that like the chakras, the directions are connected in the infinite circle they create. When we are landing from Aquarius and working with Pisces energy- knowing where we are is important. Why? Because swimming down into the infinite watery depths requires us to know where the surface is. You could find yourself going backwards towards the surface if your inner compass is off alignment.

It’s that feeling of being lost while still moving “forward”.

A bit of rage comes forward: isn’t this what society, culture, parenting wanted from me? To blindly follow a path without considering where I am and where I am going- and only stopping to reflect on where I have been for the accolades of approval? For the glory of all accomplished? What about what I want? What I value with the path I chose to be on? What makes my soul feel comfortable and stable, while the world around me maybe uncomfortable with my choices because it does not meet or align with their demands?

There are many oceans we can swim down into the infinite depths. This is so as there are many mountain heights we can climb. Both of those ideas require the use of our will, and not climbing or swimming are also uses of our will if that is what we choose. Though I have dangled the carrot of missing out- we have desires to swim and climb for. These desires in particular require swimming as deep as we can go, that is one of the essences of Pisces. Swimming deeply into Pisces feels more meaningful when you know where you are, thats about choosing your own ocean. Thats about free will. No one wants to swim infinitely deep when they are told they have to by someone else, but we we will freely and willing do it when our whole being is excited.

Take the ocean of relationship for example. No one wants a relationship if you were not part of the choosing process. Your heart has to work that much harder to be in it. But if you choose and they choose- well we know the depths of awesomeness the relationship will swim to. We also know that its truly an infinite ocean.

That makes sense to me why the symbol of Pisces is about removing our beliefs about separatism and disconnection. Within the framework (Saturn speak) of relationship, all involved swim deeper into their emotional realms (Water symbolizes emotions), and that is an infinite process that serves to bring you closer in that relationship.

Relationships with people have many blocks and injuries on all sides that sometimes make this feeling harder to welcome in. So lets say that we are landing in the Plant Kingdom in Ocean of Relationships- also called having a relationship with nature. This relationship is usually easier for people to swim into infinite depths with because one side of the relationship, the plants, is already pure and welcoming you to keep swimming through your emotions down to their bottomless level. They want you to free yourself of the emotions that make you believe you are separate from them, they want you to release the emotions of disconnection that humans are separate from nature. Nature knows that you could sincerely spend your eternal life learning and deepening your relationship and connection with nature. That is how Pisces works with everything- chose your desire to swim down in and connection will meet you in every depth you reach.

We have a lot we can learn about relationship from every thing (ocean) around us, and they all have infinite depths we can take that relationship to.

It seems to me that this is one of the largest reasons that Pisces triggers a deep amount of self healing and development because you deepen your relationship with something and when you deepen you expand infinitely with it. Your outside relationships mirror the quality of your inside relationships. Connecting with oneness outside of you relies on you connecting with your inner oneness. Having a deep infinite relationship with Nature means you have cultivated a deep infinite relationship with yourself as well. I feel myself repeating this feeling- I guess its just that important!

I realize in my next breath a wondering of how can I remain my unique self with my unique passions while existing in the deep infinite relationship with nature? Keeping in mind I’m still using nature as the example here, please insert the relationship you want, say with your partner? That question looks like this: How can I remain my unique self with my unique passions while existing and cohabitating in a deep infinite relationship with my partner? The question here is really about loosing yourself- or the belief you will. Experience may have taught us that was exactly the case. I encourage myself and you to consider that those relationships where we found ourselves becoming someone else in order to maintain that relationship is exactly why those relationships never worked out in the long run. It seems to me in my current understanding that in order to have pure, deep connections with ourselves and the world around us we actually NEED to be our unique selves. The relationship depends on it or else its fake, and surviving the deep emotional oceanic depths of Pisces has no room for fake. We inhibit our connections with self and others the moment there is a whiff of fake or dishonest emotion in us. You don’t have to be fully healed of all things that block you from the other- in fact becoming willing and honest is part of the process that builds you up to swim to those deep depths. Its like any form of exercise- start where you are once you’ve figure that out, and move deeper from there.
