Total Lunar Eclipse in scorpio
Sunday May 15, 2022 @ 10:14pm MST; @ 25degrees Scorpio
It’s too bad that we will not be able to take in the full view of the eclipse here in Calgary. I am grateful we live in a day and age where the photos will be easily shared on the internet.
If this moment in time feels intense to you, then you would be right (and its more than ok if it does not). The astrological aspect list of this moment in time is long enough. Being that it is a total lunar eclipse means that the moon is by degree conjunct her nodes.
On this day:
Moon opposes Uranus in Taurus , 10degrees before the eclipse at 6:04am
Moon Trines with Pisces Mars at 7:01pm
Moon Squares Aquarius Saturn at 9:38pm
Moon trines Pisces Neptune at 9:39pm
Taurus Sun Squares Aquarius Saturn
Taurus Sun is sextile (60degree aspect) to Pisces Neptune
Venus connects with Chiron in Aries, at 6:12am- the beauty in healing our wounds. Though it has no direct connection with the Moon or Sun, I would encourage you to take a moment and actively feel into what could bring beauty forward in your healing. Or conversely, you are to first assess the beliefs you have that healing is not beautiful or has beauty in it? I have always wondered why we called it “ugly crying” when there is nothing but beauty in the release of our deepest grief and pain. Conversations and actions around your closest and way you express your beautiful self can also be part of this transit.
All of this leading up to the Lunar Eclipse. Personally I would chart what happens and the emotions in the time leading up today. Those details can be helpful later as eclipse energy can take 3ish months for come to fruition. Details like: what was the outburst of anger about? Did you give yourself permission to cry and feel how you truly felt? Did a whole pattern flash before you that you were not aware of before? How are you being deeply emotionally honest with yourself? Maybe you admit to yourself you resist being deeply emotionally honest for a whole host of beliefs.
How do you want to spend this eclipse time? What is an intention you would like to meditate on? Or maybe it’s a longing to release a way of being.
All of these pre-moon sharing thoughts did have me wonder about past cycles of previous Scorpio South Node Lunar eclipses:
In 1967, we had a total lunar eclipse on April 24, at 3degrees Scorpio.
On May 4, 1985, total lunar eclipse, at 14degrees Scorpio
Then May 15/16, 2003, a total lunar ecplise, at 24degrees Scorpio
Moon for the last 4 eclipses now have been total (the last partial lunar eclipse was April 23, 1948 at 3degrees Scorpio, the south node was at 14degrees Scorpio).
For some, there maybe reflection on these days gone by. What was happening then that caused me to act and believe what I believe now? The nudge can be that maybe its time to let those beliefs and emotions flow and go, releasing them in the full light of the moon.
Grandmother Moon, please share with me an aspect of my relationship within my soul that needs to become more aware during Full Moon in Scorpio and the Sun In Taurus?
“Work on our life or life works on you.”
In the boldness of Scorpio’s way of looking at how Law of Attraction works: you have to feel your work, your inner progress, your soulful development, connect emotionally to what you do makes everything deeply honest.
We have so much energy right now in the Yin planets, the nocturnal side of who we are, the water and the earth elements. Even Mars is flowing in the Yin of Pisces. Water feels, Earth manifests. What we manifest all has a feeling, we manifest based on our feelings- the cycling back and forth like water lapping the earth’s shores. The ebb and flow, the dance of Yin movement, it is in fact a sacred dance for women and men alike to learn, in their own way through connecting to their own feelings and emotional beingness.
The next question is “How do I feel?”
A valid question when many are taught that emotions must be controlled, which opposes the flow we are yearning to discover here.
Feeling our emotions and our emotional selves can be an intense process, especially if it is something we haven’t allowed ourselves many opportunities in the past. It can be akin to opening flood gates- a watery vision of breaking open our earthly dams.
If we chose to surrender and feel into our fear, anger, resentment and many other overwhelming emotions- what is under it? What is below in the deep waters of our emotional beingness when we dive below the crushing waves of our anger, fear and resentment?
Sink to the preverbal bottom of the ocean. Find the stillness there, where earth meets water again in a different way, forming a different perspective.
Exhale your last bit of stale air.
Allow the grief to fill your lungs with water. Be there with how you feel. Maybe its not grief you fill your lungs with, but be there with the emotion that hydrates your lungs.
It seems to me so far: We only resent as a result of what we have to feel in these depths. And that feeling can hurt so deeply, we wonder if we will ever get off this ocean floor.
That we are only angry as a result of our resistance to what we need to feel.
We are afraid of what life may look like after when the feelings have poured out of us. The fear of emptiness without what we are used to being filled with, loosening our grip on these trapped emotions. Fear of making space so we may plant new seeds into our lives, or just be here with less trapped emotion in our beingness.
It’s time to wonder why we hold onto those putrid waters of our trapped emotions. They need to be poured out. And the deepest way to move the metaphysical expression of water in us is to feel our emotional selves.
Life cannot grow using dead water.
Water and emotions were always meant to flow, be on the move. To get in and out of all the nooks and crannies of everywhere and everything. Water and emotions do not like being trapped.
The moon, in similar fashion likes to be on the move. She also symbolizes all that is emotional. Shifting astrological signs and places every 2.5ish days, flowing from one to the next in the constant cycle of life. Air is usually an intellectual symbol, but without water (emotions) we cant take in the air, our lungs need the moisture. I will keep my point simple, as I can make a case for all the elements needing water, needing emotions. My point is this- all of the energy around us is directing us back to feeling our emotions. Feeling our symbolic waters.
Water and emotions support us in transcending our way through our development. It is when we transcend a moment, we feel in to it, we learn more about love and truth. That would be healthy way of flowing water. Conversely, we could allow ourselves to drown in it, or rather numb out on emotions that are not ours to feel- thats another part of this watery energy adding to our soul growth. Clearing out emotional distractions can feel very destabilizing, but that is how Uranus works in Taurus, that is one expression of how water and earth can help each other. in this way, I wonder if someone else or my environment wants me to feel a certain way rather then how I really feel. This can be tricky work, but when I allow myself to feel it all, I can usually discern whats mine and what someone else tells me I ‘should’ feel.
Since feeling our emotions is not a common practice in today’s culture, I pondered on the fear of our true emotional selves. The realities we have created as a result that we are in fact deeply afraid of our emotions and our selves. There is likely a long list of justifications we each have against feeling our emotions, maybe the nudge for you now is to acknowledge them and let them go and feel.
Through my current exploration of the nodes in Taurus-Scorpio axis, one part of it seems that this level of deep feeling our emotions will lead us to a sense of completeness within ourselves.
An example of this expression is the release the belief systems that we gain completeness from others. When we maintain beliefs that we need others in order to feel complete in ourselves, we have put ourselves in a position of unstable and endless hunger of validation from those around us, leading us to give our power away. When we position this validation and sense of completeness outside ourselves we also look for confirmation of our sense of “rightness”, sense of self-worth and a sense of life’s purpose continually in others, it is not coming from within. We keep looking everywhere else but within. This kind of looking is done with our emotional soulful eyes.
Only you, the deep soulful authentic you has any sense of what is right for you and your purpose- what deeply moves you forward in life, what makes you feel blissfully connected deep down in your soul.
This all still circles back to feelings and emotions, manifesting what we feel, feeling what we manifest. Self worth is an emotion we feel. We feel our purpose in the universe and then manifest it into some form of physical reality- thats a Taurus part in all of us while we engage all the Scorpion deep feeling. What feels right? What is moral and true? That is a deeply personal journey.
