On this moon phase we have Mars in Scorpio (22degrees) conjunct Moon and Sun. Adding an hot dry active masculine in a way that only Mars can do. This could also mean tempers flare. We are human and we all have feelings around what happens when we can’t do something we want or have to do something we do not want to do. Mars is at home in Scorpio under traditional rulerships, leaving Mars to feel extra confident, courageous and at home within himself.
This moon phase is trine to a retrograde Neptune in Pisces (25degrees). We have to choose to bring in the Neptunian energy, as trines move with ease. I feel that it is like an Opal stone that way- really beautiful to look at and some how easily forgotten about. There was a post from the James Webb Telescope of an image of Neptune, looked iridescently beautiful similar to the Opal. And I forgot all about both until writing this now. When you google the spiritual meaning for Opal- you get a definition of Neptune in Pisces: the enhanced psychic abilities, visions and a boost in cosmic consciousness. As with emotions, the trine of Water elements means you need to get into the emotional aspects of what is flowing around you.
The opposition this moon phase makes to Uranus in Taurus (21 degrees) really enhances the energy of it all. Also ties into Neptune in Pisces via sextile- bringing us some unexpected grounding and physical material to all this psychic water we have found ourselves in. Though that being said, the ground beneath our feet is not exactly solid where Uranus is currently. When we can stay quick on our feet- we will be available for that lightening strike of clarity and know where it lands, allowing us to see what needs to be illuminated for us in this Full Moon.
Grandmother Moon, please help me understand the energy around me and within me as I work to remove what blocks me from my real self in this New Moon in Scorpio.
There is something deeply musical about this New Moon. That feeling of listening to your favourite music in the dark, eyes closed, body comfortable, ears and senses open. Your whole being can relax into the flow and vibration of it all. You are able to allow your thoughts to flow, not holding onto any of them and are deeply aware of the insights and connections they make. You can feel the air move in and flow out of you. Being intensely still allows for intense stimulation in this way.
We can often get caught up in the “dark” side of Scorpio, the death-y feelings of letting go and releasing. And there is the positive side. This side is where we can find ourselves in that ecstasy of a moment, the intensity of pure bliss. These feelings in themselves can leave us changed forever in the similar way death, dying and letting go evoke in us. Yet we tend to not think of these energies being similar.
Here in Scorpio, we have to build up and grow into intense feeling and energy. You cannot just show up and believe you can take it all in at once. You will miss so much as you naturally cannot take it all in. Being dumped in the middle of the ocean and expecting yourself to not panic in some form is a frequent image I receive on this issue.
Take yourself back into the above description of listening deeply and intensely to your favourite music. It takes practice getting yourself to listen for long stretches at that depth. It starts with a short moment at first. That first taste of bliss and release in those moments empower you to keep going, creating more moments that hold that space for yourself. Then there are the moments in this practice that don’t get us to those blissful “highs” they feel like a set back, leaving you wondering where you went wrong. Realizing that nothing inherently went wrong, that you maybe now are chasing the moment, a bit like an addict.
This seems to be the lesson and learning paradox with Scorpio and the surrounding energy- getting caught up in chasing the outcome and missing the point of the experience. You can deeply listen to the same music and because you and each moment are different- so is the experience of deeply listening.
Have you ever listened to an album on repeat? You get into the layers in a whole new way every time it starts over. Have you ever listened to a particular music genre or playlist to make you feel a certain way only to have you left feeling annoyed because you couldn’t “get there” emotionally?
That is the essence of what the block is here- expectations of our actions towards those blissful outcomes.
It seems to me this is where we can find the addict in all of us, the moment we start doing things that chase after certain feelings. When our lives become about creating those moments.
This also doesn’t feel all doom and gloom, a rather happy awareness of it all. As thought the music around me suddenly feels lighter and can move more freely through me. Removing the expectation and demand has a way of doing that- making everything flow better. In turn, that allows us to experience a deeper, brighter and more intense sensation than we could have ever imagined.
Oh the Paradox of healing,
Stephany
