Aquarius Full Moon
Aquarius Full Moon on August 1, 2023 at 12:31pm MST, with energies perfecting at 09degrees Aquarius.
Sunset, Ashville, Manitoba. Something about wheat fields and oak trees on a hot summer day feels very Aquarian to me.

There is an aspect in the Starry Sky that is forming in a big supportive way to help us get real, though when it comes to Pluto and Neptune- “helping” sometimes is not the word I would use for how their energies feel. Clearing away delusions, especially illusions we wanted to keep- or at least think we can keep is tricky and right now has that intense Pluto flavour to it. These planets are in retrograde, signalling that what is being cleared away is part of our inner work- that we are solely looking inward for the change we seek in our outside world. Its not connected to the aspecting Moon and Sun energies but based on what I heard from others, felt around and in me- it seems important to bring forward as part of what is around us. Is is an aspect that will be around us collectively for a while. Depending on your energetic sensitivity, we started feeling this without really knowing what it was around the end of May, and it really kicked in when Neptune stationed retrograde on July 1, 2023. This will continue into October, the tides will shift when Pluto stations direct, but while these slower moving energies move and shift while being in close range, it will be well into the new year as they continue dancing in their sextile aspect. As it is with supportive aspects such as sextile- we have to choose to move into their flow, we have to chose to allow them to guide us. They do not position themselves as in your face as oppositions or squares- in their gentleness we can miss deep opportunity to move to where we actually want to go. Pluto and Neptune can work together as we choose to make our spiritual path a priority- clearing out spiritual junk from within us can be part of our great work/life’s purpose. That feels like freedom after a purging of sorts. You can move and expand when there is less in the way. This is one way these energies are helping, we just have to be willing to let go of what blocks us from expansion.
On this moon phase we have Jupiter in Taurus connecting to the Moon and Sun via squaring aspect: the tension is in your face. In the expansive ways of Jupiter- it is going to be a lot, whatever a lot is for you right now. This could be a lot of great things, or a combination of challenge and life’s sweetness. A lot is still a lot. I want to remind you that you can do it, work with a lot, get it all done, be present with it, receive its gifts. And in that 11th hour feeling when you just cant anymore- you will, from that part inside you that has faith and skill in your ability to use this moment to expand in whatever way is being presented to you.
Grandmother Moon, please help me understand the energy around me and within me as I work to remove what blocks me from my real self in this Full Moon in Aquarius.
It’s pretty tricky, maybe even impossible to innovate or create, or do any of the great things that Aquarius symbolizes when you have lost your guiding light, that ray of sunshine, that positive courage and bravery that radiates from within reminding you that you can in fact do anything when you feel passionately about it.
Sun in Aquarius in the Northern Hemisphere lands in the coldest and darkest part of our winter season and Sun in Leo lands in the hottest and brightest part of our summer season. We can gain a lot of information of what feelings are being triggered in us when we look at the scope of the archetypal tools we use. The above introduction feeling languages something we would usually encounter in the ‘winter’ of our lives. So why in the summer? The answer and reminder to that is that all seasons and elements exist in all seasons and elements. So even in the Summer, we can experience a touch of Winter. With a touch of Winter, we can also lean into the Hope of Spring within Summer.
Where am I going in all of this? Our batteries, our ability to store that internal vitality that moves us through life, the energy of our being. The Summer symbolizes that big recharge after making it through the winter and spring months. We finally get to live on full rather than negotiate how to survive on that last preverbal 20% of our storage. It is one of the reasons we spend so much collective time celebrating and gathering outside our homes in summer- we have the energy to do so. And like a great leader in all of us, we know the meaning of being present with the celebration and when to call it a night to go to bed. It is about balancing the resources, time being one of our greatest resources- and one that most easily wasted, it is one we need to learn to take care with.
There’s something different about this summer’s energy- being outside while being completely internal at the same time. For example, just because I have left my house to enjoy the warmth, fragrance, sight and texture of summer doesn’t mean I totally want to engage with everyone I encounter. It’s got that feeling of learning how all of this feels inside yourself when you’re outside. In the long winter months we come to know how we feel inside ourselves from within the warm walls of our home- the question now is how does your body and spirit feel when you leave the house. Getting in touch with this about ourselves garners vital information we need to hear and experience.
People do this feeling with Summer all the time. We spend time in our yards, camping, hiking, or which ever outdoor activity suits you that may not be with masses of people. These are different kinds of restoring and recharging our battery activities. For perspective, going outside can help us get in touch with our home inside. Using our senses to feel how life in nature in its full vibrancy and bloom can help us tune into the changes we need to make on the inside- so that energy in us can move with vibrant colourful vigour. This will look different for each of us, as each of us has different needs for our vitality to flourish and differing desires to experience nature.
Even in the heights of the Summer Sun we can feel drained beyond all measure as though we found ourselves in Winter for a brief moment, those dark cold nights of the Soul or that we have burned ourselves out from overextending ourselves. This can be a confusing moment of wanting to ‘hibernate’ during the time of year with typically so much going on in the outside world, you may feel like you are going against that ‘status quo.’ These are part of our lessons around how we spend our energy and time- recharging while using. When we hit ‘too much’ overuse and overextending we feel the need to contrast with hibernating more. Striking balance in this dance can allow us to enjoy life in a new way.
When we tap into that essence, make space for our guiding light, we can create and innovate likely anything into our manifested reality, elevating our experiences and ability from this new place in our lives.
With warm light,
Stephany
